Grand ambitions fulfilled at Southwark Cathedral

On Saturday 8 September 2019 All saints Chorus performed the Mozart Requiem to a packed cathedral in southwark. The chorus were made to feel very welcome by the staff and audience. We were surprised at the number of visitors who heard our rehearsal and then returned later in the evening for the concert!

The performance went without a hitch and supporters and new listeners we amazed a the quality of the music. Look at the quotes below.

“It sounded stupendously wonderful”

“Absolutely brilliant concert”

“The lacrymosa was so emotional I felt my heart had been wrenched from my chest”

Better yet, the Cathedral Team have invited us back to sing on 4 April 2020, in Holy Week! The chorus will be performing Verdi’s Requiem, which is ideally suited to the venue as it is such a big sound.  Tickets will be available very soon, so don’t miss out!

We are again opening our doors to invite anyone to join the chorus for this amazing concert. An open day will be advertised very soon. Please join us. We think you will need to be able to read music and this time we are having to charge and ask participants to purchase their own scores, due to the lack of sponsorship. We hopee this does not deter you! Email the chorus if you are interested.
